MISSION

The Council shall motivate and strive to bring uniformity in the academic activities in the HS Schools and Junior colleges imparting HS Course as well as endeavoring to increase the teaching techniques through state of the art education and research in consonance with the academic environment of the state that will positively move towards the desired goals with changing paradigms.

 To declare error-free result within the time-frame as fixed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court
To set & moderate questions as per syllabi introduced
To uphold dignity
To stop mush-room growth of Junior Colleges
To curb mal-practices in Examination Halls

VISION

The Council has the vision of implementing innovations in teaching-learning methodologies by devising students friendly and students centered paradigms.

 Reforms in examinations and evaluation practices
The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council  is going to introduce Open Schooling Programme with the aid of National Institute of Open Schooling, New Delhi
The Council resolved to adopt the Curriculum, N.C.F., 2005 and syllabus of Text Books of N.C.E.R.T. The Course will be started as soon as subject-wise books of the Streams are available.
The Council is trying to popularize Spoken English Course amongst the HS students
